Tobacco Quit Program

The Tobacco Quit Program offers:

  • Help creating a plan to quit smoking or chewing tobacco
  • Guidance, support and encouragement to stick with your plan to quit
    • Group and individual counseling or coaching is covered
  • Medicines to help you quit. We cover all over-the-counter and prescription medicines that may be used to help you quit using tobacco
    • Over-the-counter medicines may include generic forms of these products, such as Nicorette® (gum or patch) and Commit® (lozenge)
    • Prescription medicines may include Chantix®, Nicotrol® inhaler, cartridges and nasal spray, generic Zyban® (bupropion)
  • Resources for pregnant people
    • You'll receive more counseling calls and one dedicated quit coach. You can also earn rewards for keeping appointments

Tobacco products can cause harm even if they don’t look or taste like a traditional cigarette. The Tobacco Quitline can help you overcome the urge to use any form of tobacco, including:

  • E-cigarettes and vape products
  • Smokeless tobacco, like spit tobacco and snuff
  • Cigars, cigarillos and little cigars
  • Dissolvable products, like nicotine gel or tobacco sticks
