Blue Cross Complete of Michigan demonstrates high performance in coordinating and delivering National Committee for Quality Assurance-accredited health care services. We monitor and evaluate the processes of our quality improvement program at least annually and revise as necessary.
Quality Improvement Program
Our goal is to excel in the administration of comprehensive health care services to Medicaid members. We deliver compassionate high-quality and cost-effective services. We accomplish this goal through strong collaborative partnerships with practitioners, providers and community organizations.
2020 Quality Checkup
Blue Cross Complete earned an above average rating in the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services 2020 Quality Checkup. This report scores Michigan Medicaid health plans in five areas, including doctors’ communication and service, getting care, keeping kids healthy, living with illness and taking care of women. Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems
The CAHPS® survey is an annual measure of member satisfaction and engagement with a health plan and its provider network. Customer service, access to care and how doctors communicate are among the categories of measurement.
Healthcare Effectiveness Data Information Set
HEDIS® is a tool used by more than 90 percent of America’s health plans to measure performance on important dimensions of care and service. Altogether, HEDIS consists of 94 measures of utilization, health outcomes and access to produce an apples-to-apples comparison of health plan performance.
